There I am at St Nicolas Church in Sevenoaks for the Sevenoaks District Councils Voluntary and Community Awards, wondering when I’ll be called for a certificate! As I had recently been nominated, yet I didn’t know What for.

To my surprise and along With Darren and Mary who are other youth partners in the project, the SDC Mentoring Project scouped the award! The SDC
Youth Group of the Year 2023. It’s actually a very decent glass thing to have!

The Layberry Foundation is truly on the SDC Map and for me this is for the team Layberry! Our involvement in this project was on the back of integrating gently, yet effectively, to gain trust and acceptance and to spread the word of TLF within our District, to gain funding and to prove our worth in the local community. A big thank you to all our Volunteers and to the Young People we support.
